The
connection to IP world is made through the IP100 BT module.
This module creates voice Gateway funcionalities,
as well as Gatekeeper, allowing, in an one-way process, the
conversion of a telephone number into an IP address.
It allows, therefore, a great variety of applications.
On another way, this functionality permits the "Networking
over IP", that is, the conversion of telecommunication
functionalities into IP network.
In the picture bellow, you can identify 2 Ascotel
equipments, interconnected by data dedicated line (using routers),
both accessing RDIS or GSM public network.
For instances, the 100 telephone makes a call
to 300 telephone, the 100 is converted into an address of
that subnet and, through the router, reaches the PBX2 Gatekeeper,
which converts the destination address in 300 extension, generating
the possibility of making a call.
A telephone, somewhere in public network, can
access a truely IP telephone (for example, telephone 202),
using IP100BTmodule.
This is not a future solution!, it is already
available in ascom equipments.
